The Carbon Sciences Effect
Carbon Sciences transforms CO2 emissions into high value products such as fuel and carbonates that can be used on Earth. The net effect is that CO2 emissions do not reach the atmosphere causing more global warming. When applied to carbon positive operations such as coal fired power plants, Carbon Sciences technologies can help mitigate global warming. When applied to carbon neutral operations such as bioethanol plants, Carbon Sciences technologies can actually help reduce global warming.
From Carbon Positive to Carbon Neutral
Carbon positive operations are those that take carbon materials and fossil fuels from the Earth and release CO2 into the atmosphere as a result. For example, power plants that burn coal release the carbon inside of coal in the form of CO2. Likewise, non-energy operations, like cement factories, emit CO2 from the calcination process of limestone and the combustion of fossil fuels in the kiln.
As a result of the industrial revolution, carbon positive functions have continued to emit more CO2 than the earth can handle - resulting in global warming. Applying Carbon Sciences technologies to these carbon positive functions can make them carbon neutral and thus earth-friendly.

From Carbon Neutral to Carbon Negative
Carbon neutral operations do not emit additional CO2 into the atmosphere. For example, bioethanol and biodiesel fuels are carbon neutral and do not contribute to global warming because they are derived from plants. Plants and trees absorb CO2 from the air through photosynthesis. Therefore the use of bioethanol and biodiesel releases the same CO2 back into the atmosphere in a carbon neutral cycle.
While carbon neutral operations do not release additional CO2 to worsen global warming, they don't do much to reduce the CO2 level that is already in the atmosphere. However, applying Carbon Sciences technologies to carbon neutral operations can make them carbon negative, thereby actively reducing global warming.
For example, if the CO2 from an ethanol plant is captured and then transformed via Carbon Sciences technologies, the use of ethanol not only avoids global warming, but actually reduces global warming as well.
